Hawaii = another world

The best part about vacationing in Hawaii is that you feel like you are in a different world, but you are really in the United States. You feel so far away from the big United States that it seems like there is no way such a beautiful place as Hawaii could be a part of it. But it is. You don't have to worry about using a foreign currency, having foreign doctors and other things that are associated with being in a foreign country.

The People

My experience in Hawaii has let me to my opinion of the people that live there. The people that take up residence in Hawaii are very happy people that don't seem to have a care in the world. Everything that they do seems to bring them joy. Also, they all seem to move at a slower pace. It is almost like they have no where they need to go or nothing that they really need to do. They are very laid back and easy going. This most it an even more enjoyable vacation for me and my family.

Leis

I love flowers. One of the most amazing thing that I bought in Hawaii was a fresh flower lei. My family was driving on the way to Hana and there was a little table along the side of the road with fresh flower leis laying on it with a sign that said "Leis $3" with a little box sitting right beside the Leis for the money to go in. I boutght one, wore it for the day, let it dry out, and then I took it back home with me. It is so beautiful.

Surfing

One thing that I have always wanted to do, and realy regret not trying when I was visiting Hawaii, is surfing. There were so many chances for me to try it, especially since there are Hawaiians, parked up and down the beaches, offering surfing lessons.

Every day I would sit and watch people surfing. The best place to watch surfers is on the north shore because that is where the waves are the most intense.

Snorkeling

Hawaii is a great place to go snorkeling. This is because the water is so very clear so you can see all of the wonderful water life that lives near the Hawaiian coasts. When I was in Hawaii, the snorkeling trip that I went on was the Morning Molokini Crater Snorkel. The two destinations that we traveled to were Molokini
and Turtle Town.

Humpback Whales

A native animal to Hawaii is the Humpback whale. This whale is a wonderful site to see. I loved laying out on the beach, watching to see if I could catch a blimps of one of these magnificent mammals.
